What to Expect
Lessons tailored to you
Every student comes with different goals, experience, and learning pace. Lessons are tailored accordingly — whether that means building technique from the ground up, working through the Royal Conservatory of Music syllabus, or simply learning pieces you love.
Exams and music festival participation are generally encouraged, but entirely optional. The most important goal is to develop a genuine enjoyment of music that lasts beyond the lesson room.
First lesson
Your first lesson is unhurried and exploratory. Eric will assess your current level, talk through your goals, and outline a direction for upcoming lessons.
Ongoing lessons
Each lesson covers technique, theory, and repertoire in a balance suited to you. Progress is steady, structured, and built on a solid classical foundation.
RCM framework
The Royal Conservatory of Music syllabus provides a clear, progressive roadmap. Eric follows it as a guide while remaining flexible to each student's individual path.
All ages welcome
Children, teens, adults, retirees, and those returning after years away are all warmly welcome. It is never too early or too late to begin.
Availability
Daytime availability
Students with flexible daytime availability are often able to secure lesson times more easily, with greater flexibility for scheduling and faster placement.
If you are available during weekdays, mornings, or outside of peak after-school hours, please mention this when inquiring.
Lesson Rates
$28 per 30-minute lesson
$56 per 60-minute lesson
